On 30JUL2024 Black Lives Matter (BLM) / Antifa inspired groups had a rally in Western Oregon in a town called Springfield along the major I-5 North-South highway. It is near the major city of Eugene, Oregon. It is more rural / suburban than Portland, Oregon, I guess more like exurbs of Eugene.

For those who care, this is how Antifa actually work. They do not really “bus in” significant numbers of protestors to more rural areas. What they do is encourage a limited number of organizers, we would call them agitators to work with locals who are already protesting.  The purpose is to make their protest “more effective.” Again from our perspective, this typically includes more in confrontational, disruptive events that helps feed the social media narrative of cops fighting back “peaceful” Antifa Moms.

For example, I believe the female speaking on the megaphone is BLM/Antifa member Arex who I think is associated with an Antifa related group, most likely Rose City Antifa in Portland. She is saying the cops “grabbed a very important BLM person.” That person is named Tyshawn Ford and is a leader of “Black Unity” groups. The police apparently grabbed Mr. Ford and others because the larger group attempted to block a public road, especially the more substantial Main street. And that Mr. Ford and others appeared to be the most aggressive.

The guy on the bullhorn claims that the “Proud Boys, alt-right and All Lives Matter” counter-protestors where there. He further claims that “their message is “back the blue.” First, I have no direct information; any significant organized counter-protestors from the groups he listed were there. I see some evidence that people from the local community were opposed to BLM / Antifa being there and were watching them. Some of them may be supporters of various groups. I saw no “alt-right” or white nationalists’ actors.

I do like to see how this woman threatens, “Portland is coming back next time.” She rampantly is saying, let us do what we wanted or more violent prone aligned groups will come.  This is another example of how the “peaceful” protestors are affiliated with the violent groups. When this woman’s threat is met with aggression from the locals, she is not happy The Antifa / BLM person says, “cops do your job.” She calls for the help of the police.  This makes people laugh.  ACAB, until you need help.

However, I would like you to see this video. I thought it was significant. Notice how organized they are. Notice how many there are. They appear to be “projecting force” outside of big cities like Portland. In smaller less-prepared towns and police departments. 1,500 people being held back by 20 cops from a smaller town? That is not going to hold if these protests keep spreading. But notice how quickly people come out to protect themselves and their homes.

Remember, I have met no person who believes what officer Derek Chauvin did to George Floyd was right.  It was murder by the State.  I believe Black lives do matter, but I oppose the anarchist / Marxist Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization. There are problems with policing which I have covered for many years, and I believe changes must be made, but I oppose the concept that all officers and deputies are terrible people.  I know there are good officers.  We can improve our nation, and our policing  without ending policing and destroying America.  Stay calm, stay united, and stay aware.
